KORAN BY HEART
SYNOPSIS
To memorize the contents of an entire book is quite an accomplishment and to do so with the most sacred text in the Islamic faith is extraordinary, but the fact that ten-year-old children accomplish this is very nearly miraculous. This is the intense competitive world featured in KORAN BY HEART.
The world’s oldest Koran memorization contest takes place each year during Ramadan in Cairo, Egypt. This is where the best and brightest kids from 70 countries across the Islamic world gather each year to see who can recite the Koran with the greatest accuracy, passion and beauty.

KORAN BY HEART is a coming of age story about Muslim kids in modern times who claim their faith in the most dramatic and public way imaginable.
